University of Manitoba Financial Aid and Awards – Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are advised to meet the following requirements to be qualified for the University of Manitoba Financial Aid and Awards:

  • International students are required to apply.
  • According to academic standing and course load, scholarships are often given to full-time students.
  • To be eligible for financing, admission scholarship recipients must enroll in at least 24 credits at the University of Manitoba during the current academic year.
  • To be eligible for scholarships, students typically need to enroll in and finish at least 80% of a full course within the current academic year.
  • Specific course load exclusions are stated in the scholarship’s terms and conditions by the donor or a donor agent.
  • Graduate students are exempt from credit hour requirements as long as they are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies during the autumn and winter semesters.
  • Bursaries are available to students depending on their needs. Applications for bursaries are made through Aurora in mid-August and are due on October 1st.
