About Flinders University and Scholarship

Public research university Flinders University is based in Adelaide, South Australia, and has locations across the state of South Australia and in the Northern Territory. It was founded in 1966 and is named for the early 19th-century British sailor Matthew Flinders who explored and charted the Australian and South Australian coasts.

With 156 acres of native woodlands and gardens encircling its main campus in Bedford Park in Adelaide’s south, it is a luxuriant institution. Other campuses include those at Tonsley, the central business district of Adelaide, Renmark, Alice Springs, and Darwin. The Innovative Research Universities (IRU) Group includes this institution. The main campus of the institution is located in the Adelaide inner southern suburb of Bedford Park, about 12 kilometers south of the city center. Additionally, it has external teaching locations in the Northern Territory, southwestern Victoria, and outback South Australia. The Mediserve Northern Territory Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship was created to give financial help to students pursuing a postgraduate degree in Primary Health Care (Diabetes Management and Education). Mediserve Nursing Agency gave the funding.

Eligibility Criteria for Mediserve Northern Territory Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship

Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the Mediserve Northern Territory Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship at Flinders University:

  • Be enrolled in Flinders University’s Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Diabetes Management and Education);
  • Possess a residence in the Northern Territory; 
  • Possess an Australian passport, a visa for permanent residence, or a permanent humanitarian visa.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be given based on the student’s ability to demonstrate their willingness to work in the Northern Territory in compliance with established university policies.
