The University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (international) is a highly selective scholarship that recognizes and awards overseas students who are beginning undergraduate or postgraduate education and have excelled academically in prior courses. This scholarship is open to candidates starting their degree program at the University of Adelaide in 2023.
This award is:
- Accessible to new students.
- Accessible to beginning direct-entry foreign undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, including those who must complete a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) before beginning their degree;
- Available for research in any field of study.

University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria
Academic accomplishment serves as the primary criterion for selection for The University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarships, which has a tough selection procedure. According to a general rule, the University of Adelaide will take into consideration candidates who have attained academic standing comparable to the following:
- Undergraduate courses: 98 or higher on the raw ATAR scale
- Regarding courses for graduate degrees: An average of 6.8 out of 7 OR it’s equivalent
Note: Applicants for scholarships who are qualified for several scholarships granted by the University of Adelaide are only eligible to earn one scholarship (the highest-value scholarship award that is available to them).
Exclusions
The following candidates are not qualified for these scholarships:
- The current University of Adelaide students who are changing their program of study before completing it (internal transfers);
- Students who have received a scholarship paying their tuition from an established scholarship provider, such as a government ministry or department;
- Candidates for Master by Research or Ph.D. programs
- Applicants for particular programs; for a list of degrees that aren’t accepted, check the scholarship terms and conditions.
Application Process for the University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship
The University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship will be given automatically to students who match the qualifying standards, therefore there is no need to apply. There is no need to submit a separate scholarship application. The winners of scholarships will be verified at the time of acceptance. The faculties will be given a list of eligible candidates to choose from when awarding scholarships. Following faculty clearance, successful candidates will receive written notification within fourteen days.
